After driving for 4 hours and our stop on Aguadulce, we arrive to Santiago, we check in on a hotel rest for a bit and get to Universidad Latina, were everything was ready, Pedro Corrales (Fedora Ambassador) and his team had everything setup so we just display our banner and wait til start. My talk to introduction to Fedora Project, the Fedora 13 features was there by request, Rafael Rivas and SkoleLinux was the feature presentation, it was a fun time sharing with Pedro and his staff. People ask for CD's and DVD's road trip day ended the next day. Next day we meet with some people from the board of education on Panama, we learn what they plan and how they will implement the new computer that will have a dual boot configuration were one Linux distribution is going to be setup. Panama communities will help students to use Linux on class, this is going to be a great challenge for us and will need all the help we can get.

Pre-Flisol Aguadulce, Panamá

Traveling to Santiago, we stop on the way on Aguadulce on April 21, there we meet with the local LUG community and have a pre-flisol talk about Fedora Project. To my surprise, a group of high school students join us, so in a rush change my talk to add an introduction to Free Software and Open Source concept, and Fedora Project. The crowd was really motivated and asked lots of questions. It was a good change to bring Fedora to people that did not ever ear of it. Run out of Cd's and DVD's. Later we learn about SkoleLinux from Rafael Rivas SkloeLinux Translator.

Pre Flisol Panama 2010, ElCONIX, David Bandel

Pre-Flisol talks continue as schedule, this time we had ear local open source companies talks at the chamber of commerce, and have honor to listen to David Bandel.

David Bandel talks on FOSS and innovation was a great way to learn why FOSS matters, his talks on IPV6 and its status on Panama, was a something we needed to listen and start getting ready for it, since look like our local ISP and government is not aware of it.

Our local students and teachers had the opportunity to listen why they need to teach and learn FLOSS technologies. This coming from the new bread of business using this technologies that have hard time to find a work force with this capabilities.

Thanks to all of them.
